Skiing’s Schwartz Wraps Up Competition on Final Day of NCAA Championships

MIDWAY, Utah – Junior Meredith Schwartz finished in 36th place in the women's 20k freestyle on Friday at the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center to complete competition for Harvard University skiing at the 2026 NCAA Championships.
 
On the fourth and final day of NCAAs – and the second and final day of nordic action – Schwartz came in with a time of 58:25.1 for 36th place after placing 27th in the women's 7.5k classic on Thursday.
 
In alpine action on Wednesday and Friday, sophomore Duncan Armstrong and senior Luke Kearing represented the Crimson. Armstrong posted a 16th-place finish in men's slalom and a 25th-place finish in men's giant slalom while Kearing closed his career with a 24th-place finish in men's slalom.
   

Harvard Highlights: Nordic Day 2 (Saturday)

  • On the final day of the NCAA Championships, junior Meredith Schwartz came in 36th place in the women's 29k freestyle with a time of 58:25.1.

Harvard Highlights: Alpine Day 2 (Friday)

  • Sophomore Duncan Armstrong closed his time at NCAAs with a 16th-place finish in the men's slalom with a time of 1:36.18 (50.63 run one, 45.55 run two) for 15.0 NCAA points. He tallied his 12th top-30 finish of the season and came in the top 30 in both events at NCAAs after coming in 25th in the men's giant slalom on Wednesday.
  • Closing out his first appearance at NCAAs, senior Luke Kearing placed 24th in men's slalom with a 1:37.53 (51.00 run one, 46.53 run two) for 7.0 NCAA points. He notched his seventh top-30 effort of the year.
  • The duo totaled 22 NCAA team points on the day, moving the Crimson up three spots in the team standings to 16th from 19th.

Harvard Highlights: Nordic Day 1 (Thursday)

  • Making her debut at the NCAA Championships, junior Meredith Schwartz came in 27th place in the women's 7.5k classic with a time of 29:43.7 for 4.0 NCAA points. She posted her eighth top-30 effort of the season.

Harvard Highlights: Alpine Day 1 (Wednesday)

  • Making his second consecutive appearance at the NCAA Championships, sophomore Duncan Armstrong placed 25th in the men's giant slalom with a time of 1:58.49, clocking a 59.41 in run one and a 59.08 in run two for 6.0 NCAA points. He posted his 11th top-30 finish of the season.
  • Senior Luke Kearing made his debut at the NCAA Championships but did not finish in his first run in the men's giant slalom.
