CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - No. 12 women's water polo continues its West Coast swing with a rare Wednesday doubleheader tomorrow, taking on Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer tomorrow night.
First sprint is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. against CMS, followed by a 10:00 p.m. meeting with Pomona-Pitzer to close the day. Both games will be streamed on FloCollege.
WHAT TO KNOW
- Coming off another undefeated weekend, the Crimson improved to 21-1 with wins over No. 16 UC San Diego, No. 18 San Jose State, and No. 19 San Diego State.
- The victory over UC San Diego marked the program's 19th win of the season and its best start through 20 games in program history.
- Now at 21-1, the Crimson has won 10 straight games and is just six wins away from tying the single-season wins record it set last season. There are at least eight games remaining in the season.
- Harvard doubled up UC San Diego in its first game of the weekend, 12-6.
- In a tight first quarter, Harvard led just 1-0 after the opening frame. Lily Britt opened the scoring after being left open in front of the cage, before Harvard added four more goals in the second quarter to take a 5-2 lead at halftime.
- Niki Piovan and Beatrice Hearey each recorded hat tricks as Harvard secured the best start in program history.
- Ten different Crimson players scored against the Spartans in a 13-4 win on Sunday morning.
- Maya O'Dea, Lily Britt, and Lucy Levenberg-Penklis each scored twice.
- In the finale of the Aztec Invite, Maya O'Dea led the way with four goals, while Niki Piovan scored twice and recorded a team-high four blocks.
