Harrington Punches NCAA Ticket, Wrestling Competes at Ivy Championships

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Senior Jimmy Harrington placed fourth at 157 pounds to earn an automatic berth in the NCAA Championships as Harvard University wrestling competed at the 2026 Ivy League Championships on Sunday at Columbia University's Levien Gymnasium.
 
Harrington's fourth-place finish at 157 earned him his second consecutive trip to the NCAA Championships. Matthew Walsh posted a fourth-place finish at 184 pounds while Jack Crook posted a pair of wins before finishing in fifth. Logan Brzozowski, Coleman Nogle, and Dante Frinzi each posted a pin in their respective fifth-place matches at 125, 133, and 141 pounds.
 
Harrington will compete at the 2026 NCAA Championships from March 19-21 (ESPN+/ESPNU/ESPN2/ESPN) at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. 

Harvard Highlights

  • No. 3 seed Jimmy Harrington punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships with a fourth-place finish at 157 pounds. He began his day with a 5-4 decision over No. 6 seed Rocco Camillaci of Princeton and added a 4-1 decision over No. 5 seed Ethan Mojena of Brown in the consolation semifinals to reach the third-place match and secure his NCAA spot.
  • No. 4 seed Matthew Walsh placed fourth at 184 pounds. He recorded a 4-2 win over No. 5 seed Xavier Giles of Princeton in the quarterfinals alongside an 8-1 win over No. 6 seed Connor O'Donnell of Brown in the consolation semifinals.
  • No. 4 seed Jack Crook notched a 2-2 record at 149 pounds. He opened the day with a 17-4 major decision over No. 5 seed Richard Fedalen of Columbia in the quarterfinals and closed his day with a 12-7 decision over Fedalen in the fifth-place match.
  • No. 4 seed Logan Brzozowski won a fall in 1:49 over No. 6 seed Chase Yasutake of Brown in the fifth-place match at 125 pounds.
  • No. 4 seed Coleman Nogle registered a pin in 1:14 to win the fifth-place match over No. 6 seed Douglas Shipers of Brown at 133 pounds.
  • No. 6 seed Dante Frinzi closed his day with a fall in 0:37 over No. 3 seed Khimari Manns of Brown in the fifth-place match at 141 pounds.
  • No. 5 seed Joseph Cangro notched a 5-4 decision over No. 4 seed Maximus Norman of Brown in the quarterfinals at 165 pounds.
  • No. 4 seed Hudson Skove posted a 4-0 decision over No. 6 seed Conor McCloskey of Princeton in the fifth-place match at 197 pounds.
  • No. 5 seed Daniel Bittner contributed a 7-1 win over No. 6 seed Anderson Olcott of Princeton in the fifth-place match at 285 pounds.
