Men's Volleyball Ends 2026 Season With Loss to Princeton

Cambridge, Mass. – Harvard Men's Volleyball (6-17,  3-9 EIVA)closed out its 2026 season with a three-set loss to Princeton (7-14, 3-9 EIVA on Saturday evening at home. The Crimson fell by set scores of 21-25, 23-25, and 19-25.
How It Happened
The opening set saw Princeton take an early edge, capitalizing on gaps in Harvard's defense to build separation. The Crimson worked to close the margin late, highlighted by four kills from Sawyer Nichols, but ultimately could not overcome the deficit as the Tigers secured the set, 25-21.

Harvard responded with its strongest stretch in the second set. The Crimson built a 20-16 lead behind a balanced offensive effort, including seven kills from Zach Berty and four kills from Brian Thomas. Princeton rallied to even the score at 22-22, and after a tightly contested finish, used a key block and a Harvard service error to take the set, 25-23.


In the third, Harvard claimed the first two points, but Princeton quickly regained control and maintained the lead throughout. Despite continued offensive pressure from the Crimson, the Tigers closed out the match with a 25-19 set win.

  • Zach Berty led the offense with 13 kills and three digs
