For the final race of the day, a quartering tail wind at 6 mph popped up on the river for the varsity boats. Princeton, with a consistently fast start in all three races, once again was the fastest boat at the start. The race was close through the first 500m with Harvard, led by coxswain Nathalie Gregg and stroke Ben Lundie, in the lead by three seats over Yale. Despite the Tigers' strong start, Harvard gained an open-water advantage before the midway point of the race and nearly a boat-length over Yale at the Harvard Bridge. Harvard reached the finish first in 5:36.272 to win the Goldthwait Cup for the 48th time in 100 races. Princeton rallied back to overtake Yale for second at 5:39.499, while the Bulldogs finished in 5:43.858.

In the junior varsity race, Harvard coxswain Sylvie Spitz and stroke Nikhil Ramaraju pushed its lead to more than half a boat by the 800m mark and six seats ahead at the bridge. With less than 400m to go, Harvard pulled ahead for an open-water lead and built on its strong start to finish first and claim the Prentke Cup in a time of 5:850. Princeton's second varsity was over four seconds back at 5:47.909 with Yale pulling into third at 5:56.416.

Princeton rowed strong from the start jumping out to a boat-length lead by the bridge around the halfway mark. The Tigers finished with an open-water win to claim the first Yale Class of 2011 Bowl in a time of 5:57.060 over Harvard's 6:02.132 second place finish ahead of Yale's 6:05.497.
