CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard baseball attempted to come back from seven runs down in the final two innings, but ultimately fell 7-6 to Penn at O'Donnell Field on Sunday afternoon. The third loss of the series dropped the Crimson to 8-25 overall and 6-12 in the Ivy League, while the Quakers improved to 18-18 and 12-6.

Down 7-0, Harvard got a single run in the eighth on a bases-loaded wild pitch. An inning later, the Crimson loaded the bases with nobody out to put Penn on its heels. With a run in, TJ Shulman delivered a two-run single that brought the tying run to that plate. Left fielder
Gavin Smith promptly delivered a RBI-double to put the tying run in scoring position, but the Quakers escaped with a pair of groundball outs to third after calling on Nick Newburn to get the save.

For the third game in a row, Penn's bats came out hot and scored in the first; plating three runs before Harvard got back into the dugout. The Quakers scored in three of the first four innings; adding a single run in the second and three more in the fourth.

Penn lefty Ben Moulin (2-2) tossed five innings of shutout ball to earn the win. He scattered three hits and a pair of walks to go with six strikeouts. Right-hander
Davis Kahn (0-1) was charged with all seven runs on 10 hits and two walks with two strikeouts in 3.2 innings of work. Lefty
Luca Alagheband relieved Kahn in the fourth with the bases loaded and escaped the jam in one pitch.

Alagheban finished his outing with just one hit allowed, no runs across, no walks and four strikeouts.

How It Happened
- Penn picked up where it left off a day ago, scoring in the first, with the first three Quakers singling and coming in to score.
- Penn added to a 4-0 lead with three runs in the fourth on four hits and two walks; batting through the order in an inning for the second day in a row. Harvard went to the bullpen and Luca Alagheband limited the damage by getting the final out on one pitch and stranding the bases loaded.
- Harvard's offense got at least one base runner in each of the first seven innings, but failed to score. In the eighth, the Crimson loaded the bases and got one in on a wild pitch.
- In the ninth, Harvard loaded the bases on two hits and a walk. Max Lane delivered the first of five Crimson runs in the frame. Shulman followed with a two-run single and Smith a one-run double.

- Harvard committed a season-high five errors.
- Colasante hit his sixth double of the season.
- Rickheim singled in the first to extend his season-best hitting streak to 12 games and his 12-game reached base streak is one back on his season-high.
- Rickheim, who went 4-for-5, notched his 10th multi-hit game of the season.
- Smith registered his first two-double game of the season and fourth multi-hit game.
