CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's tennis (14-12, 4-3 Ivy) concluded the 2025-26 season and celebrated Senior Day this afternoon in Cambridge with a 4-0 win over Dartmouth (15-11, 3-4 Ivy).
"What a way to send off the seniors! It was a complete performance up and down the lineup," said
Andrew Rueb '95, the Scott Mead '77 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Tennis.
Rohan Murali and
Kolos Kincses notched their 21
st win of the dual season to open the day, winning 6-2 at the top-doubles court. Then, in their first appearance as a duo,
Benjamin Privara and
Elisha Thornton secured the doubles point with a 6-2 victory on court two.
"I'm so proud of senior
Elisha Thornton who clinched the doubles point. He deserves so much recognition for the work he has put in over the last few years to get healthy and it was poetic that he clinched the doubles point," continued Rueb.
Privara quickly went to work in singles as well, dropping just one game en route to a win over Henry Ren at the No. 2 spot.
"Another shoutout to Benji Privara for saving his best tennis for the last day of the season and winning in convincing fashion."
Masato Perera and
Melchior Delloye then secured wins in their final match in Cambridge. First, Perera defeated Adrian Treacy (Dartmouth) in dominant fashion, 6-2, 6-0. Delloye then secured Harvard's win with a pair of 6-4 sets over Yujiro Onuma (Dartmouth) on court four.
"In singles, our seniors stepped up again. Masato and Melchior both notched big wins to get us over the finish line. Masato finished his career on a high note and really played some great tennis this spring. And to have our captain Melchior clinch the final point – nobody was more deserving of that honor. And I want to recognize senior
Marc Ktiri for all the work he put into making himself and the team better each day."
