CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – For the second consecutive season, Harvard women's golf standout
Vanessa Zhang will compete in an NCAA Regional Tournament. The sophomore received an at-large selection to the field this year and will compete in the Tallahassee Regional at Seminole Legacy Golf Club on May 11-13. Ranked No. 167 in the nation, Zhang has posted five top 10 finishes this season, including two tournament victories in the Fall.
The first at-large individual selection in Harvard women's golf history, Zhang will head into the regional tournament with valuable experience from last season. Then a first-year, Zhang finished T14 with a score of 218 [+2] at the NCAA Regional Round in Columbus, Ohio. The rookie golfer was in the mix until the final holes, as she finished just three shots back of the individual leader in the tournament. Zhang's final placement was the second-best for a Harvard women's golfer at the Regional round in program history.
Zhang will continue to train and sharpen her skills before traveling to Florida to compete in the regional tournament in mid-May. Follow Vanessa's progress through the tournament on social media (@HarvardGolf on Instagram) and online at GoCrimson.com.
