Fairfax, Va. – Harvard Men's Volleyball (6-14, 3-6 EIVA) fell to George Mason (17-7, 5-2 EIVA) in straight sets (15-25, 23-25, 17-25) on Friday evening at the Recreation Athletic Complex.
How It Happened
Harvard struggled to find its rhythm early, dropping the opening set 25-15 while hitting negative as a team. George Mason capitalized on errors and controlled the tempo from the start.
The second set told a different story, as the Crimson settled in and battled point-for-point with the Patriots. In a back-and-forth frame featuring 10 tie scores and multiple lead changes, Harvard pushed George Mason late but ultimately fell just short, 25-23.
Carrying that momentum into the third, Harvard jumped out to a four-point lead, showcasing improved consistency and energy on both sides of the ball. Despite the strong start, George Mason responded with a late run to regain control and close out the match, 25-17.
