Women's Lacrosse Hosts Cornell in Final Home Game of Regular Season

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Women's lacrosse hosts Cornell at Jordan Field on Saturday in the Crimson's final home game of the regular season.

First draw is scheduled for 12:00 p.m. and will stream live on ESPN+.

Sitting at 1-3 in Ivy play, the Crimson looks to move back within one game of .500 in conference play as it welcomes the Big Red in a key matchup with playoff seeding on the line.

The Crimson will celebrate and honor the Class of 2026 as part of its annual Senior Day celebration. The eight members of the senior class will be recognized after the game on Saturday and before postgame youth autographs.

WHAT TO KNOW

  • Harvard enters the game against the Big Red with four wins in its last five games.
  • The Crimson has defeated No. 12 Duke, Holy Cross, Brown, and UNH during that stretch.
  • Cornell enters the game coming off back-to-back losses to Princeton and No. 3 Syracuse but had won four straight games prior to hosting the Orange.

LOOKING BACK

  • Harvard narrowly fell to the Big Red last season in Ithaca, 13-12, at Schoellkopf Field.

  • After jumping out to a 4-0 lead, Cornell cut the deficit to 9-4 by the end of the third quarter, but three quick goals from Charlotte Hodgson, Riley Campbell, and Ilana Kofman put the game out of reach early in the fourth.

LAST SEASON AT A GLANCE

  • Consistently ranked in the top 25 all season, Harvard opened the year with three wins in its first four games, defeating UAlbany at Jordan Field in the season opener before notching upsets over No. 15 Navy and No. 23 UConn in late February.
  • Caroline Mullahy was the story of the season, rewriting the Harvard, Ivy League, and NCAA record books. She tallied her 100th career assist in the season opener against UAlbany, broke the Harvard program record with her 112th assist against Bryant in late March, and then broke the Ivy League record in her next game against Brown.
  • Mullahy became just the seventh player in program history to record 200 career points after a six-point outing against Yale. She added two assists in the final game of the season to become just the 15th player in NCAA history to record 150+ career assists.
  • Mullahy was joined by Annabel Child as All-Ivy First Team selections, and both were named USA Lacrosse All-Americans after earning honorable mention recognition.

NEW TO THE GROUP

  • The Crimson welcomes eight new members to the program as part of the Class of 2029.
  • Three members of the rookie class were named to the Inside Lacrosse Power 100 rankings, with Lexie Koch ranked No. 40, while Emerson Midura and Cecelia Batchelder received honorable mention recognition.

LEADING THE GROUP

  • Despina Giannakopoulos and Kate Gilliam are set to lead the Crimson this season.
  • Giannakopoulos started all 14 games last season and all 15 the year before, serving as a key member of the defensive unit throughout her tenure.
  • Gilliam returns for her senior season after appearing in 29 games during her Crimson career. The New York native scored three goals last season.

KEY RETURNERS

  • Offensive leaders Charlotte Hodgson, Callie Batchelder, and Grace Mullahy all return for the Crimson.
  • Batchelder recorded a career-high 45 points (26 goals, 18 assists) in her sophomore campaign.
  • Hodgson added a career-best 40 points after leading the team with 30 goals.
  • Playing alongside her sister, Grace Mullahy increased her point production by 33 points in her sophomore season.
