TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Harvard women's golf standout sophomore
Vanessa Zhang will compete in the NCAA Regional Round for the second consecutive season this week after earning an at-large selection to the tournament as an individual. The first at-large selection for the Crimson in program history, Zhang hopes to qualify for the NCAA Women's Golf Championships at the Tallahassee regional, which will be played at Seminole Legacy Golf Club on the campus of Florida State University.

Notes and Storylines
- Vanessa Zhang – ranked No. 167 in the nation – will compete in the NCAA Regional Round for the second consecutive season after earning an at-large bid to the field as an individual.
- The selection was the first at-large bid ever for a Harvard women's golfer.
- Zhang has a scoring average of 72.2 through 23 rounds in 2025-26, the best clip on for the Crimson.
- The Canadian owns two tournament victories, three top three finishes and six top 15 finishes.
- Zhang's wins came during back-to-back tournaments at the end of the Fall season. The sophomore earned medalist honors at the Quinnipiac Classic and the Lady Blue Hen Invitational.
- Her W-L-T record of 474-100-7 is also the best on the Crimson and among the highest in the Ivy League.
- Last season, Zhang finishes T14 at the Columbus Regional as a first-year, finishing two-over-par to record the second-best performance by a Crimson women's golfer at the Regionals.
- Zhang was just three shots off the individual leader at the end of the tournament, just barely missing out on a trip to the NCAA National Championship.
About the NCAA Regional Round
Regional play will take place May 11-13 at six regional sites, with 396 participants and each site featuring 12 teams and six individuals. The top five teams (30 teams total) and the low individual not on an advancing team (six individuals total) from each regional site will advance to compete in the national championships to be played May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California. Championship play will be hosted by Texas, with the final three days of the championships televised live by the GOLF Channel.
