PENSAUKEN, N.J. -- All four of the Harvard women's heavyweight rowing boats in competition at day one of the Ivy League Championship at Cooper River Park advanced to Sunday's grand finals. Each of the Harvard-Radcliffe crews, including all three eights and the varsity four, placed third on the day and will be joined on Sunday by the V4B and V4C boats.

Results
The racing got underway right at 4 p.m. with the third varsity eights. Radcliffe moved on to Sunday's final with a third-place finish in 6:50.392; a little more than six seconds behind Penn, who took the day. The varsity eight rowed in the second race of the day. Led by coxswain
Nikhita Mandapaka and stroke
Alexia Fayd'herbe de Maudave, the Black and White erased a slow start that saw them in fourth after 500m to finish third in 6:18.520 and move on the the finals Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
In the final eights race of the day, the second varsity rowed to third; just over a second behind Dartmouth. Finally, it was the varsity four A boat to close out the day. Coxed by Isabella Goldstein and stroked by
Vivi Sun, the Black and White took an early lead, sitting in front at the 500m mark, before moving back to third and advancing to Sunday with a time of 7:11.509.
