PRINCETON, N.J. – Harvard softball kicked-off the postseason slate in the Garden State this afternoon, as the Crimson dropped a 7-0 decision to Columbia in the first round of the 2026 Ivy League Tournament.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the fourth meeting in the last six days between Harvard (21-22-1, 12-9 Ivy League) and Columbia (21-21, 12-9), the Lions struck first, opening up a 2-0 with three hits in the top of the first inning. Â Across the third and fourth innings, Columbia added on, scoring three runs to grow the advantage, 5-0.
The top of the fifth saw Columbia record another run off a sacrifice fly, 6-0, as Harvard would put traffic on the base paths in the bottom of the sixth with a leadoff hit from junior outfielder
Audrey Szollosi, as Columbia would work around the runner to end the inning.
Columbia brought home the final run of the day, 7-0, in the top of the seventh inning. Sophomore infielder
Alexa Muller logged a hit in the bottom of the seventh to right field to put a runner on, as Columbia would secure the 7-0 win with an out.

Nicolette Hunter picked up a pair of strikeouts to move her career tally to 196 strikeouts across 292.0 innings pitched for the Crimson.
