HENLEY-ON-THAMES, England -- The Harvard men's lightweight rowing team's coxed four exited the Henley Royal Regatta with a defeat to Oxford University in the Prince Albert Challenge Cup on Friday morning. Racing in good conditions and fast water, the Crimson finished just a half a length back, but faced an Oxford side that advanced to the semifinals with a new course record of 6:21 in the event.

Launching on the Bucks side near Temple Island, Harvard trailed at the Fawley checkpoint and maintained contact through the midway point of the race. Over four minutes into the race, the Crimson began to gain water. However, Oxford responded and held off Harvard to the finish with both sides upping the rate after reaching the spectator enclosure.
