CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's tennis will compete in eight individual tournaments this fall en route to the 2026 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in Athens, Ga. this November. Included in the slate is three weekends hosted on the Crimson's home courts.
Harvard will open its season with its annual event, Chowderfest, on September 18-20. The Crimson will welcome teams from all over the country to compete in the tournament.
Also beginning that weekend, the Crimson will send student-athletes to compete at the ITA All-American Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The event provides the opportunity for athletes to qualify for the NCAA Tournament. Ten singles players and five doubles pairings will advance out of the draw to compete for a national title. Rohan Murali and Nathan Blokhin will represent the Crimson as automatic qualifiers in the singles main draw.
Crimson Student-athletes will have another opportunity to earn an NCAA bid in the first tournament of October as Harvard hosts the ITA New England Regionals. Benjamin Privara received his first bid to NCAAs at regionals last year when he advanced to the finals of the tournament.
Two weekends later, Harvard will compete at the Ivy League Qualifier Tournament in Princeton, N.J. There Crimson athletes will face fellow Ivy foes for a spot at the ITA Conference Masters on November 5-8 in Rome, Ga. Also, the same weekend will be the ITA Sectional Championships in Charlottesville, Va. The two tournaments will be players final chance to qualify for NCAAs on November 17-22.
Outside of NCAA qualifying tournaments the Crimson will also compete at the SMU Invite October 30 through November 1 and host the Battle of Boston November 6-8.
This will be the first official season of the NCAA Individual Championships being held in the fall after a successful two-year trial period. Harvard had two players qualify for NCAAs last season.
