CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard Football's Spencer Doan and Damien Henderson have been named 2026 Phil Steele Preseason All-Americans. An offensive lineman, Doan landed on the first team, while Henderson, a defensive back, was selected to the second team.
 
For Doan, the Preseason All-America honor marked his first of 2026. Henderson, meanwhile, collected his third after being named to the FCS Football Central First Team and the Stats Perform Second Team. The duo last week was also selected to the Shriners Children's 1000 Watch List.
 
Harvard was the only Ivy League school to land two players on the first two teams and was matched in overall Preseason All-Americans by only Cornell (one first team, one fourth team).
 
In addition to being named Preseason All-Americans, Doan and Henderson led an Ivy-best 19-player contingent on the Phil Steele Preseason All-Ivy League Team. Joining the pair on the first team were Xaviah Bascon (RB), Brady Blackburn (WR), Thomas O'Brien (OL), Sean Line (LB), Dorsey Benefield (LB) and Kieran Corr (K). Making the second team were DJ Gordon (RB), Seamus Gilmartin (TE), Brandon Sullivan (OL), Enzo Agostini (OL), Josh Fedd (DL), Jake Darling (DL), Ethan Carson (LB), Jack Donahoe (DB), Jordan Harris (KR), Bascon (AP) and Jack Baade (LS).
 
Harvard last season captured its third consecutive Ivy League championship and earned its first bid to the NCAA FCS Playoffs. The Crimson rose to as high as No. 7 in the Stats Perform Top 25 Poll and finished the year with a 9-2 record (6-1 Ivy).
