COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Harvard field hockey will own the No. 3 ranking in the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association's National Coaches Poll heading into this weekend's contests at Berylson Field against UMass Lowell and No. 9 UConn.

The Crimson opened the season at No. 4 in the preseason iteration of the Penn Monto/NFHCA National Coaches Poll, moving up one spot after a week of competition across the country. The No. 3 ranking matches Harvard's highest poll position in school history, as the Crimson climbed to No. 3 after finishing the 2025 regular season undefeated. Harvard has now spent 11 consecutive weeks in the top five of the Penn Monto/NFHCA Coaches Poll, the longest streak in school history and the longest active streak in the Ivy League.

The Huskies, one of Harvard's opponents this weekend, climbed two spots to No. 9 after victories against New Hampshire and No. 20 Saint Joseph's on opening weekend. The Crimson is joined by two Ivy League peers in the top 20, No. 2 Princeton and No. 19 Yale.

The season opener for Harvard arrives on Friday, Sept. 4 at 4:00 p.m., as the Crimson host UMass Lowell. The Crimson close out the weekend at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 6 against No. 9 UConn.
