CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard men's tennis added 10 victories across doubles and singles play on a strong second day at Chowderfest.

The Crimson opened the day by winning three of four doubles matches. Zachary Cohen and Evan Sharygin earned their second victory in as many days, defeating Virginia Tech's Gevorg Mnatsakanyan and Thomás Brandão with a convincing 6-3 result. Nathan Blokhin and Mitchell Lee also picked up their first win of the season with a 6-4 victory over Cornell's Jack Casciato and Nathan Gold.

The final doubles victory of the afternoon came from the No. 74 nationally ranked duo of Kolos Kincses and Rohan Murali. The Harvard pairing earned its first ranked win of the season, defeating No. 67 Rethin Pranav Senthil Kumar/Rushil Khosla (Cornell) in a tight 7-5 decision.

Harvard then controlled singles, winning seven matches of nine matches, including six in straight sets.
In his first appearance, Murali battled to a pair of 7-5 set victories over Rethin Pranav Senthil Kumar (Cornell). Blokhin, Sharygin, and Bill Chan also recorded their first singles wins of the season. Blokhin and Chan each cruised to straight-set victories, dropping just three games apiece against their Cornell opponents.

Sharygin battled through the lone three-set victory of the day. After he and Brandão (Virginia Tech) splite the opening two sets, the Harvard first-year prevailed in a third-set tiebreak to secure a 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (2) victory.

Lee, Kincses, and Cohen rounded out Harvard's singles victories, each winning in straight sets to improve to 2-0 on the young season.
