Before Harvard: Played three seasons of varsity baseball at Lamar H.S. in Houston, Texas...Was named team captain his senior year (2017)... Captained a team that was ranked fourth nationally at the conclusion of the 2017 season by Maxpreps... Earned first-team all-district honors his junior and senior seasons... Was named to all-district second team his sophomore year... Played club ball for the Columbia Angels as a pitcher and infielder for two seasons (2014-15)... Played on teams that won the Senior League world series in back-to-back seasons (2014-15)... Also played football at Lamar... Was named football team captain in 2016... His parents, Maynard and Kathleen, are both 1994 graduates of Harvard''s Kennedy School of Government..
