Allen joined the Harvard field hockey coaching staff in July of 2024 as a new assistant coach. A native of Berwyn, Pennsylvania, Allen was a staple of the Crimson field hockey program as a student-athlete from 2018-22.
Allen's second season as an assistant coach with the Crimson was a landmark season, as Harvard headed back to the NCAA Tournament Semifinals for the first time since 2021, setting a new school record for wins in a single season (19) and winning the program's eighth Ivy League regular season title in the process. A member of the Ivy League's and NFHCA's Northeast Coaching Staff's of the Year, Allen also assisted the Crimson in orchestrating the Ivy League's first perfect regular season, as a program-record five Crimson earned All-America honors.
In Allen's first season as a coach for the Crimson, Harvard enjoyed a stellar, winning a second-straight Ivy League title to go along with a 16-4 record. With Allen's guidance, six Crimson garnered All-Ivy League honors, as junior Bronte-May Brough and sophomore Lara Beekhuis earned NFHCA Northeast All-Region status.
During her four-year career with the Crimson, Allen was a leader on and off the field. A team captain for the 2022 iteration of the Crimson, Allen logged 72 appearances in the midfield, starting in 67 matches. Across 2,801 minutes on the field, Allen provided 14 assists, scored three goals, and tallied 20 points. In 2019, Allen garnered All-Ivy League honorable mention status after scoring one goal and dishing out five assists in 17 appearances. Allen was also key part of a Crimson defense that led the nation in goals against average (0.44) in 2021.
A member of the Class of 2023, Allen graduated from Harvard with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Over the last year, Allen served as an enterprise sales development representative at ASAPP in New York.
