Biography

In his second stint at Harvard after transferring to LSU in thesummer of 2007 before returning to Cambridge in the spring of 2009… Originally walked on at LSU after a brief Mormon missionto Chile … Earned a scholarship at LSU in 2007 and was theTigers’ starting QB in 2008 … Was granted a medicalredshirt following the 2007 season due to a shoulder injury ... A dual threat quarterback … Can run or pass withequal effectiveness … Originally recruited by Gary Crowtonwhen he was the head coach at Brigham Young but chose Harvard whichhas had an All-Ivy League QB now in eight of the last nineyears.

At Harvard
2010:
Started three games but missed significant time withtwo concussions ... Finished the season 40-69-4 for 502 yards andfour touchdowns ... Made his first Ivy League start in the seasonopener against Holy Cross ... Completed 20 of 25 passes for 276yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 39 yards against theCrusaders and earned a spot on the Ivy League weekly Honor Roll on9/20 ... Also named to the College Football Performance Awardshonorable mention at quarterback that week ... Missed three weekswith a concussion but returned to start at Princeton, going9-for-21 for 98 yards in a win ... Suffered a season-endingconcussion against the Tigers ... Major H award winner.

2009: Sat out the season per NCAA eligibility fortransfer and progress toward degree rules.

At LSU
2008:
Had season cut short with a lower leg injurysuffered against Georgia ... Started first three games of seasonbefore giving way to Jarrett Lee after suffering a concussionagainst Auburn ... Saw action on a number of drives against Georgiaand completed 2-of-2 passes for 22 yards ... Also notched acareer-long 20-yard run against the Bulldogs ... Rotated withJarrett Lee against South Carolina and played well by completing2-of-3 passes for 10 yards and a touchdown ... Rushed five timesfor 19 yards against the Gamecocks ... Saw limited action againstFlorida but completed 2-of-3 passes for 32 yards ... Also ran for14 yards and a touchdown against the Gators, which marked thesecond rushing TD of his career ... Through six games, he completed55.6 percent of his passes (25-of-45 passes for 282 yards with twotouchdowns and one interception) ... Finished 7-of-14 for 77 yardsand one TD against Appalachian State ... Went 10-for-17 for 125yards and one interception against North Texas ... Finished 2-for-6for 16 yards against Auburn while rushing for 40 yards ... Was theTigers’ fourth-leading rusher with 35 carries for 129 yardsand two TDs.

2007: Played in one game for the Tigers… Saw action in LSU’s win over Middle Tennessee… Completed 1-of-2 passes for nine yards and ran for another27 yards on four carries.

At Harvard
2005:
Played his true freshman season at Harvard in 2005… Quarterback for the Harvard junior varsity squad in 2005… Played in the Harvard-Yale junior varsity game at the YaleBowl … Ran for one TD and threw for another in theHarvard-Yale JV game … Left Harvard following his freshmanseason, going on what was planned to be a two-year Mormon missionin Chile … Injured knee playing soccer five months into hismission and had to return home to Nevada to have surgery.
