Anthony Fucillo enters his seventh year as an assistant coach for the Crimson in 2023, working with Harvard's safeties.

A season ago, Fucillo played a role in the Crimson ranking fourth in the FCS in rushing defense and ninth in first downs defense. Individually, Fucillo coached a pair of All-Ivy League selections in Khalil Dawsey and Alex Washington. The senior duo combined for 60 tackles, two interceptions and 10 pass breakups in 2022.

In 2021, Fucillo helped the Harvard defense rank first in the FCS in rushing defense, fourth in team passing efficiency defense, fifth in scoring defense, eighth in interceptions and 12th in total defense. He helped James Herring earn All-Ivy League Second-Team honors after the safety finished with 69 tackles, three interceptions, five pass breakups and 1.5 tackles for loss.

In 2019, Fucillo tutored Honorable Mention All-Ivy selection Cole Thompson, who led the Harvard in tackles (56) and solo stops (35), and Max Jones, who led the Crimson with three interceptions and eight pass breakups. Jones finished the 2019 campaign ranked second in the Ivy League in interceptions per game (0.3) and fourth in passes defended per game (1.1).

Harvard capped the 2018 campaign by defeating Yale, 45-27, in the highest scoring episode of The Game. The Crimson earned 13 All-Ivy selections, including five on the first team, and finished 6-4 overall and 4-3 in the Ivy League. Senior captain Zach Miller was an all-Ivy selection, and he had two interceptions against Yale at Fenway Park.

Harvard's secondary finished the season second in the Ivy League with 12 interceptions, taking two back for touchdowns, in 2017.

Fucillo, who spent the 2014-16 seasons at Amherst College, has also enjoyed stints at WPI and Stonehill College.

The quarterbacks coach and recruiting coordinator at Amherst, Fucillo was in charge of the passing game each week. He spent the 2013 season at WPI as the quarterbacks coach and pass game coordinator and was promoted to offensive coordinator before taking the position at Amherst.

During his previous stint with Amherst in 2012, Fucillo worked with the running backs and was the tight ends and fullbacks coach at Stonehill in 2011.

A two-time captain and quarterback at Tufts, Fucillo graduated as the Jumbos’ highest-rated passer in school history. After graduating in 2010, he played professionally for the Aalborg 89ers of the Danish National League.
