Jackson McSherry

Jackson McSherry completed his sixth season with the Harvard football program in 2024, and his fifth as the Crimson’s director of operations.
 
McSherry arrived in Cambridge in May 2019, joining the football staff as a defensive quality control assistant. In his role, McSherry contributed to all aspects of football operations and recruiting, while also assisting the coaching staff with scouting reports, game-planning and video breakdown.
 
After two seasons, McSherry was elevated to his current role as director of operations in Sept. 2021. A graduate of Missouri, McSherry is responsible for organizing and coordinating the program’s recruiting efforts, team travel and meals, practice and gameday logistics, and its summer camps. During his time as director of operations, the Crimson won the Ivy League in 2023 and 2024.
 
Prior to his stint at Harvard, McSherry was a football student assistant at Missouri from Dec. 2016-May 2019. During his time as an undergraduate, McSherry assisted the Tigers’ director of football operations, managed the team’s student assistant program, planned field set-up for practice, and worked closely with the coaching staff, performing a variety of tasks.
 
McSherry also spent the Summer of 2018 with the New England Patriots, serving as the team’s football operations intern. While with the NFL franchise, McSherry was the point of contact for training camp operations and worked closely with player families and the team’s rookies. On the field, McSherry was an invaluable resource to the defense, designing schematic installation presentations and the unit’s install calendar.
 
McSherry earned his Bachelor of Science degree in parks, recreation & sport with an emphasis in sport management from Missouri in 2019. He also minored in business.
