Honorable Mention All-Ivy League ... Started all 10games and ranked fourth on the team with 38 tacklezs (21 solo)while intercepting three passes and breaking up five ... Had sixtackles, including three solo, and two pass breakups in awin over Brown on Sept. 25 ... Had an interception and three solotackles in a win at Lehigh ... Had interceptions in consecutivewins against Dartmouth and at Columbia ... Had a fumble recoveryagainst Penn ... Had five tackles against Yale with four soloefforts.

2008: Appeared in eight games, missing two withinjuries ... Ranked fourth on team with 50 tackles (25 solo) andhad 10 passes defended ... Named National Defensive Player of theWeek by The Sports Network following the Penn game ...Also named the Ivy league Defensive Player of the Week and was therecipient of the New England Football Writers'' Gold Helmet Award.After missing two games, Barnes intercepted three passes with twoof them coming in the end zone, as Harvard topped Penn, 24-21. Histhird of the afternoon came in the final seconds in the back of theend zone with Penn looking to take the lead late. He also had threepass breakups to finish with six passes defended, and also had fivetackles including four solo ... Had 10 tackles against Lehigh.
