In the Fall of 2021, he added The James Herscot '58 Coach of Excellence to his title for 2021-22 after he and the strength and conditioning staff provided student-athletes with exemplary leadership and mentorship during the COVID-19 pandemic, demonstrating adaptability and compassion over the course of a year unlike any other.

Prior to joining the staff at Harvard, Osberg completed a yearlong internship at Harvard where he assisted with daily training for all 42 sports. He was also a teacher’s assistant at Bridgewater State University in 2014 and the head strength and conditioning coach at Middleboro High School from 2012-13.

A graduate of Springfield College in 2012, Osberg was a four-year member of the football team while earning his Bachelors of Science degree. He earned his Master’s in Physical Education with a Strength and Conditioning concentration from Bridgewater State in 2015.

Osberg currently holds certifications through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) as well as being CPR/AED certified.
