Looney begins his first season with the Crimson in August of 2019.

Looney joins the Crimson after serving in a variety of capacities in the United States Navy since 2006. Currently assisting as an executive officer for the Special Boat Team Twenty, Looney arrives in Cambridge to pursue a graduate degree at the Harvard Kennedy School.

As an undergraduate at the United States Naval Academy, Looney was a four-year letterwinner on the Midshipmen's lacrosse team. A three-time All-American and two-time team most outstanding midfielder, Looney was honored his senior season with the Vice Admiral E.C. Waller Award for contributing the most spirit, morale and dedication to varsity sports at the Naval Academy. A three-time second team All-Patriot League selection, Looney received the Robert T. Bianchi Award as the Midshipmen's Co-Most Valuable Player his sophomore season.

Using his experiences as a student-athlete at the Naval Academy and his lessons learned as a Navy Officer, Looney will focus primarily on team building and culture development within the men's lacrosse program.
