Senior (2024-25)

Saw action in six matches for the Crimson during his senior season … Posted an 0-6 record throughout the campaign … Competed at the ninth position in the match against Western Ontario (Nov. 16) but fell in the match … Competed at nines for the Crimson against Middlebury (Feb. 5) … Played in the nine spot in the Crimson’s match against MIT (Feb. 18).

Junior (2023-24)

Went 2-0 on the season, both coming from the No. 9 position … Made his collegiate debut against Brown (Nov. 14), earning a 3-0 sweep at the No. 9 position … Earned the win at the No. 9 position against Northeastern (Nov. 15) with a 3-0 sweep to clinch the match for Harvard.

Before Harvard
  • Played on the varsity squash team for three years at SACS
  • Was the no. 2 on the SACS team that captured the Championship in 2019
  • Named team captain for the 2019 season
  • Represented Western Province (State) U19 squash team at the inter-provincial tournament in 2019
  • Also enjoys the game of chess, playing on the chess team in high school from 2015-2019
  • Represented Western Province U18 Chess team at South African Junior Chess Championships in 2018
  • Deputy-Head Prefect and Dux Scholar at SACS (Top Student in School) 
  • Placed 2nd in the province and 7th in South Africa at MINTEK Science Competition
  • Was named a Victoria Scholar and received the Rotary Cup for good fellowship in 2019. 
  • Is a licensed Emergency Medical Terchnician (EMT)
  • Spent time as an undergraduate researcher in the Barczak Lab at the Ragon Institute studying dynamics of the tuberculosis and the early endosome
  • Father, Ryan, represented South Africa in All Styles Karate in 1983 and 1988
  • Sister, Jess, represented Western Province (state) u19 in Water Polo
