Henry Phelan joins the Harvard Track & Field and Cross Country staff in 2016-17 as a volunteer assistant coach. Phelan will work primarily with the men’s distance runners. Phelan comes to Harvard after serving as the head coach of the women’s cross country team at Lincoln-Sudbury (Mass.) Regional High School from 2008-16. He previously coached the women’s track & field and cross country teams at The Bromfield School (Mass.). Phelan was a four-year member of the cross country team at Keene State, where he earned All-America recognition. Phelan is a USA Track & Field certified coach in endurance, sprints, hurdles, and relays.
