Threw a career-high 20.36m in the discus throw at the Kansas Relays (Apr. 18-21) … Notched a career-best 9.29m in shot put at the UMass Lowell Invitational (Mar. 31).

"After missing the opportunity to throw in high school, I’m looking forward to investing myself in the sport and contributing to the team this spring!" Townsend said.
