Marko Kostich

  • Title
    Volunteer Assistant Coach
Marko Kostich returned to the Harvard men’s volleyball program in 2023 as its volunteer assistant coach. The 2024 campaign will mark his second on staff.

In his first season, the 2023 squad relied heavily on the leadership of its senior class, while leaning on a talented group of juniors, sophomores and first-years. The latter group ended up leading the team in all statistical categories as the Crimson reached the EIVA tournament for a second straight season, a feat not accomplished in Cambridge since 2015-16.

A former four-year letterwinner for the Crimson, Kostich was a three-time All-EIVA selection, earning first-team accolades as a senior in 2018.

His final campaign was a season to remember for Harvard as the Crimson captured the program’s first EIVA championship and secured its first NCAA tournament berth.

One of the all-time greats in Harvard history, Kostich ranks second in career service aces (94) and fifth in career assists (2,251). The Burr Ridge, Illinois native is also tied for seventh on the Crimson single-season top-10 list in service aces (36 in 2018) and is eighth in assists (837 in 2016).

A 2018 First-Team Academic All-American, Kostich graduated from Harvard in 2018, with a degree in Statistics. He is currently pursuing his MBA at Harvard Business School.
