Erik Sigman started as an assistant strength and conditioning coach with Harvard in January 2023, working with the Crimson’s women’s basketball, men’s soccer, men’s volleyball, men’s track & field (sprints, multis, horizontal jumps), and men’s heavyweight rowing programs.
Prior to Harvard, Sigman worked as a strength and conditioning graduate fellow at Tufts University in the fall of 2022. At Tufts, Sigman implemented strength and conditioning programs for the men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams as well as the coed sailing team. In addition, he also assisted with the baseball, men’s hockey, men’s lacrosse, and football programs.
In the spring of 2022, Sigman completed a strength and conditioning internship with Harvard University where he assisted in the training of all 42 varsity sports teams.
A 2021 graduate of Drake University with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, Sigman also was a 4-year varsity athlete as a member of the men’s soccer team. As an undergraduate student, Sigman completed an internship with professional soccer club FC Cincinnati in the summer of 2019 working within their sports performance department.
Sigman is a certified member of both the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
