Came up with an assist and a +2 on-ice in the 5-2 win vs. Union (Nov. 1) … Scored first goal of the season at St. Lawrence (Nov. 15) … Tallied an assist on Harvard’s game-winning goal in the 4-3 victory at Northeastern (Nov. 29) … Earned an assist in the 3-0 win vs. Princeton (Dec. 5) … Tallied another assist (fourth of the year) in the 2-1 victory over No. 4 Quinnipiac the next night (Dec. 6) ... Played field hockey, ice hockey and softball at Noble and Greenough and captained field hockey and ice hockey as a senior and softball as a sophomore, junior and senior … Received All-Independent School League (ISL) honors in softball (2007, ’09), ice hockey (2008, ’09, ’10) and field hockey (honorable mention 2010) … 2010 Boston Bruins John Carlton Award recipient … Helped field hockey team to ISL championships in 2006, ’07 and ’09 … Led softball team to undefeated championship season in 2009 … Part of ice hockey team that captured 10 consecutive ISL titles and earned New England championships in 2008 and ’09 … Received academic distinction in all six years at Noble and Greenough … Led club team, Assabet Valley, to five national championships (2005, ’06, ’08, ’09, ’10) … Helped U.S. U18 team to silver medal at 2010 IIHF World Championships … Interests include singing, swimming, card games, and reading … Father, Rich Gedman, was a catcher for the Boston Red Sox from 1980-90 … Mother, Sherry Gedman, played basketball and softball at Connecticut … Brothers, Mike and Matt, are on the baseball team at Massachusetts.
