Jeffrey Aucoin will enter his 10th season as an assistant coach for the Harvard women’s volleyball team in 2022.
 
During his tenure, Aucoin has coached 25 All-Ivy League award recipients, including 11 All-Ivy First Team honorees. Aucoin has helped guide two Ivy League Rookie of the Years and four AVCA All-Region recipients since he joined the Crimson’s staff.
 
With Aucoin on the sidelines, the Harvard women’s team earned the Ivy League championship in back-to-back seasons in 2014 and 2015. Aucoin helped coach the team to set program records in 2014 with its .792 win percentage and 12 Ivy victories, while its 19 overall wins stand as the fourth most in program history. Five individuals earned selection to the All-Ivy League teams, including Corinne Bain (first team), Caroline Walters (first team), Caroline Holte (second team), Sindhu Vegesena (honorable mention) and Grace Weghorst (honorable mention).
 
Aucoin previously served as the Harvard men's volleyball assistant coach for three seasons. The Crimson men earned multiple program-bests in Aucoin’s first season on the bench including the highest AVCA national ranking at No. 13. After posting the most EIVA wins in program history with an 11-3 mark, another record was set as Harvard garnered five All-EIVA accolades.Along the way to a 15-8 record, the Crimson concluded its season ranked fourth in the nation in digs per set (10.08) and 13th in the hitting percentage (.289).
 
The Crimson earned a fourth-consecutive trip to the EIVA Championships in Aucoin's second campaign with the men's squad, finishing second in conference play at 7-5, and tying the program's all-time highest ranking at No. 13. Harvard received three selections to the All-EIVA first team and finished the season ranked seventh in the country as a team in digs per set (9.66), 11th in hitting percentage (.277), and 12th in blocks per set (2.48).
 
Aucoin came to Cambridge after spending 2012-13 as an assistant coach at the University of New Hampshire. There he was responsible for film editing and exchange, opponent scouting reports, and worked on the court with the Wildcats’ blocking, serve receive and defense. Aucoin also handled game day management, organized team travel and assisted with recruiting. UNH saw a dramatic increase in its digs per set average with Aucoin on staff and earned a berth to the America East Tournament.
 
Aucoin began his coaching career as a student assistant at UNH editing film, scouting opponents and compiling post-game statistics. He also assisted with team travel as an undergraduate and was involved with on-court instruction. Aucoin served as the tournament director for the 2009 and 2010 UNH Wildcat Volleyball Invitational , and founded UNH’s women’s club volleyball team in 2010. He has also spent time working at various camps during the summer months, including the 2011 Butler University and Ball State University camps. In 2012 he was the recipient of the American Volleyball Coaches Association Coaches for Coaches Scholarship.
 
Aucoin was also a four-year member of the UNH men’s club volleyball team and served as club president and student leader from 2009-11. He was named tournament MVP after helping lead the Wildcats to the 2011 NCVF Division I-AA National Championship and was a four-year NECVL Regional All-Tournament Team selection.
 
Aucoin graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology focusing in sports studies. In 2013 he earned his master’s degree in physical education and sport from Ball State University where he was a MIVA Academic All-Conference selection as a member of the Cardinals’ Div. I varsity men’s volleyball team.
