Suzie Trimble '08 enters her second season as the top assistanton head coach Jen Weiss' staff after spending two seasons as thecoaching assistant. Trimble began her tenure in Cambridge as afour-year letterwinner for the Crimson, earning numerous accoladesduring her career.
On the sidelines, Trimble helped the Crimson to a 7-7 Ivy Leaguerecord in 2012 marking the program's first season at .500 or betterin conference since 2009. In 2011, Harvard posted a 12-12 record,marking the first time since 2004 that the Crimson had finishedwith a winning percentage of .500 or better. In her three season'sshe has coached seven All-Ivy League selections, five AcademicAll-Ivy honorees and three Capital One Academic All-Districtrecipients.
Trimble graduated in 2008 as one of the most decorated players inteam history. A two-time captain, Trimble earned All-Ivy Leaguesecond-team honors as a junior and senior, and led the team inhitting during her senior season as well. A force in thefront-court, Trimble currently holds the program record for careerblock assists with 298 and is second in team annals with 370 careertotal blocks. Trimble also stands ninth all-time at Harvard with946 career kills and has the seventh-highest career kills-per-setaverage with 2.70.
The San Capistrano, Calif., native also has a presence withinthe top Harvard season records, recording the third-most blockassists in a season as a sophomore with 89 and the fifth most totalblocks with 109.
At the 2008 Senior Letterwinners’ Dinner, Trimble waspresented with the Francis J. Toland Community Service Award, givenannually to the senior student-athlete who has made the mostoutstanding contribution to Harvard and its neighboringcommunities.
