Monica Zdrojewski joined the Harvard women’s water polo coaching staff for the 2016 season as a volunteer coach. Zdrojewski returned to Cambridge after a stellar four-year career on Harvard’s women’s water polo team.

The women's team enjoyed one of its most successful seasons in program history in 2016, finishing the year at 24-10, recording the first back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time in program history. The Crimson checked in at No. 13 in the CWPA rankings from March 23 – April 6 for its highest ranking ever, while also marking a program first with nine wins against top-25 teams this season. 

Zdrojewski comes to Cambridge after serving three years as a teacher at Uplift Education in Arlington, Texas. She also served as a Corps Council Representative for Teach for America for two years.
Prior to her teaching career, Zdrojewski enjoyed a spectacular career on Harvard’s women’s water polo team. Making an immediate impact on the team, she earned a spot on the CWPA All-Northern Division second team in her freshman campaign and followed with another season of success, earning a spot on the All-Northern Division first team. Zdrojewski capped her junior season with a spot on the CWPA Southern Division Second Team before being selected as the team’s co-MVP in her senior campaign. 


Zdrejewski graduated from Harvard in 2012  with a bachelor of arts in Government and Global Health and Health Policy. Zdrejewski is currently pursuing her masters in Education Policy and Management at Harvard.
