Dan Scotchmer

Dan Scotchmer joins the Harvard Office of AthleticCommunications after graduating Summa Cum Laude from KentState.

In his time at KSU, Scotchmer was one of the radio voices forthe nationally-ranked baseball team and the sideline reporter forthe football team. He also worked in the Athletic Communicationsoffice as a student assistant where he wrote press releases, gamestories and feature articles.

In 2011, Scotchmer served as the media relations manager of theJamestown Jammers of the New York-Pennsylvania League. During histenure, the Jammers were featured on the MLB Network, Fox SportsFlorida and BBC for the first time in team history.  Scotchmeralso served as the assistant press box coordinator for the 13-15Babe Ruth World Series held in Jamestown, N.Y.

Prior to entering college, Scotchmer worked at ThePost-Journal as a sports writer covering local high school andjunior college athletics.

Scotchmer received his B.S. in Sport Administration from KentState and is a native of Jamestown, N.Y.
