Felix Kernbichler joined the Harvard coaching staff prior to the2012-13 season as a volunteer assistant coach after a successfulcareer in Austria.

In his homeland, Kernbichler won the 800m, 1500m and crosscountry national titles and competed on the international stage inseveral different events, including the 2007 U-20 EuropeanChampionships and the 2009 and 2011 European Cups.  He wasalso a member of the Austrian Army for five years in the sportsdivision, where he competed in the Military World Championships in2007 and 2009 in the 800m.

Kernbichler studied law at the University of Vienna for threeyears before working for the University’s Department ofPrivate Law for three years. He then served as a visiting scholarat the UC Berkeley School of Law in the spring of 2012. Kernbichleris currently a student at Harvard Law School.
