Jeff Selesnick

Jeff Selesnick joined the Harvard Office of AthleticCommunications in February of 2010 and currently serves as theprimary media contact for Men's Ice Hockey, Men's and Women's CrossCountry, Softball, Men's and Women's Track and Field, Men's andWomen's Tennis and Multimedia efforts.

Selesnick came to Harvard from Boston University where he servedas Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. Selesnick was theprimary media contact for the Terriers' women's hockey, women'slacrosse, cross country and track and field programs, as well as asecondary contact for the men's hockey team.

Prior to his arrival at BU, Selesnick spent a year as the PublicRelations intern for the Cleveland Browns. Aside from being acontributing columnist for the team's official website, Selesnickassisted in coordinating coach and player press conferences andcoordinating the press box during gameday.

Before his stint in Cleveland, Selesnick served as a staffassistant in the Harvard Office of Athletic Communications, workingwith a number of Crimson athletic programs. In the spring of 2008,Selesnick accompanied the women's hockey team to the Frozen Four inDuluth, Minn. and covered the men's tennis team during their NCAAtournament run in Ann Arbor, Mich. Selesnick also assisted thecommunications staff in hosting the 2008 and 2009 men's lacrossenational championships at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.

Selesnick graduated from Wheaton College (Mass.) in 2006 with adegree in English and completed his Master of Arts degree a yearlater at Emerson College. During his schooling, Selesnick held anumber of positions in the sports world, including an internship inthe sports department at WPRI television in East Providence, R.I.,an internship with the Concord Quarry Dogs baseball team formerlyof the New England Collegiate Baseball League, and as a columnistfor the rugby website RugbyDirt.com. Selesnick was also a four-yearmember of the Wheaton men's tennis team and a staff member in theWheaton Athletics Communications office throughout hisundergraduate career.

A native of Concord, N.H., Selesnick now resides in Somerville,Mass.
