Kaveh Danesh joined the Harvard men’s soccer staff in thesummer of 2014 as an assistant coach.

From 2012­–13, Danesh competed for Peking Universityin Beijing, helping the team to a semifinal finish in the regionalcollegiate and semiprofessional tournament.  While in China,he also led a soccer camp for the children of migrant workers.

At Harvard, Danesh is a graduate student in the Department ofStatistics, a tutor at Pforzheimer House, and a research assistantfor Nobel Laureate Amartya Sen. His academic work has been featuredin mathematical, medical, and literary journals, and he is fluentin Spanish, Farsi, and Mandarin. In the summer of 2013, he internedat The White House.

Danesh holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Dukeand was elected to the university’s Board of Trustees in2012.
