Brownlee joins the Crimson staff after graduating from Yale, where she coxed the women's varsity crew to a 32-9 record with three Ivy League Championship silver medals in the varsity and second varsity. Brownlee led the first varsity to an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Championships in 2011 and a No. 11 ranking in 2013.

As a junior, Brownlee was named to the All-New-England first team and the All-Ivy second team. Most recently, Brownlee completed an advanced certificate in rowing leadership at the Institute for Rowing Leadership to prepare for a professional coaching career.
