Mary Catherine McLean joined Harvard swimming and diving in Nov.2013 as the Volunteer Assistant Diving Coach.

"McLean has already made a strong contribution and is a welcomeaddition to our very large diving squad," diving coach Keith Millersaid.

Before coaching junior divers in her hometown of Moultrie, Ga.,McLean competed many times at the Junior National Championships andattended the University of Georgia.

A “Double Dawg,” McLean earned her bachelor’sdegree in 2009, and then a masters degree in education, both atUGA. While in Athens, she also was involved in many other pursuits,serving as the Chair of the Community Service Committee of theExecutive Board of the Student Government Association. She was aHOPE Scholar, a Richard B. Russell Leadership Fellow, a member ofthe Arch Society and served on the Executive Board of the UGA Relayfor Life.
