Rick Offsay '05 begins his fourth year as the assistant coach ofthe men's water polo team. While assisting with the program, Offsayis also pursuing his advanced degree at Harvard Law School.

 

The California native has had a long history of success withHarvard water polo. As team captain in 2005, he led the Crimson toa second-place showing at the Northern Championships, its bestfinish in school history. The team would later finish fourth at theEastern Championships.

 

Offsay served as team captain in both his junior and senioryears. During both seasons he led the team in scoring and was namedteam MVP. Following his senior campaign, Offsay garneredAll-American honors, becoming just the third player in team historyto earn that distinction.

 

Offsay's experience extends beyond Blodgett pool. As a member ofthe Junior National Team in 2001, he helped the United States to asecond-place showing at the Pan-American Championships and athird-place finish at the Moscow Cup. Playing for both theNortheast National Team and the Los Angeles Water Polo Club, Offsayhas also competed in the United States Premier League in each ofthe last four seasons.

 

Offsay learned the game playing under former Olympic Coach RichCorso at the Harvard-Westlake School.
