Taliet Gerretsen, a former lightweight rower and assistant coachat Princeton, is in her first season as coaching assistant for theRadcliffe lightweight crew.

Gerretsen comes to Cambridge from Ithaca, N.Y., where shecoached the recreational sculling summer program at the CascadillaBoat Club.

The 2009 Princeton graduate spent the 2009-10 season as anassistant coach at her alma mater, working with novice athletes andassisting with the varsity squad. Concurrent to the coaching stintwith the Tigers, Gerretsen also coached at the Carnegie Lake RowingAssociation.

Gerretsen was a four-year member of the Princeton lightweightwomen’s crew. As a senior, she was a part of the varsityeight that reached the grand final at the Intercollegiate RowingAssociation National Championships, earned a runner-up finish atEastern Sprints and placed second among women’s collegiatelightweight entries at the Head of the Charles Regatta.

Following graduation with a degree in molecular biology,Gerretsen participated in the elite summer rowing program atPhiladelphia’s Vesper Boat Club.
