Tim Wheaton

Tim Wheaton has been an administrator in Harvard's Department ofAthletics since 2005 and currently serves as an Associate Directorof Athletics after serving as an Assistant Director from 2005 toJuly 2010. At Harvard since 1985, Wheaton arrived after a two-yearstint at Princeton to become an assistant women's soccer and men'slacrosse coach with the Crimson under current Nichols FamilyDirector of Athletics Bob Scalise.

In 1987 he was named head coach of women's soccer and served inthat capacity through the 2004 season. A former Soccer BuzzMagazine National Coach of the Year, Wheaton guided Harvard toeight NCAA Tournaments and four Ivy League championships in 18years. He posted an overall record of 167-94-27 (.627) with a79-32-11 record in the Ancient Eight.  

A 1983 graduate of Drew University in Madison, N.J., Wheaton wasa four-year letterman in soccer and lacrosse. His career highlightsinclude three soccer Regional All-America accolades and graduatingwith eight school scoring records in lacrosse. He was named Drew'sAthlete of the Year in 1983, and was inducted as a member of theinaugural class into his alma mater's Athletic Hall of Fame inOctober of 1991

Wheaton is married to Sarah Flatley and the couple reside inLexington with their daughter, Emmeline, and sons, James andJustus.
