CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Mikaelle Comrie
recorded a career-high 21 kills to lead the Harvard women's
volleyball team to a 3-2 win over Columbia Friday night at the
Malkin Athletic Center. With the 25-16, 25-19, 22-25, 25-19, 16-14
victory, the Crimson improves to 9-11 overall and 5-4 in conference
play.
Three other Harvard players recorded double-digit kills on the
night as sophomore Anne Carroll Ingersoll posted 16 kills and five
blocks, classmate Sandra Lynne Fryhofer registered 14 kills and
freshman Taylor Docter recorded 12 kills. Senior Lily Durwood
handed out 59 assists, just four shy of her collegiate best and
sophomore Christine Wu had 32 digs.
Harvard held a 70-59 advantage in kills, but the Lions recorded 84
digs, eight more than the Crimson and 11 blocks, four more than the
home team.
Harvard hosts Cornell tomorrow afternoon at 4 p.m.
