Harvard senior setter Lily Durwood was named ESPN the Magazine
Academic All-District second team for District I as voted on by
members of the CoSIDA. It's the second straight all-district
award for the La Jolla, Calif., native.
Durwood, a psychology concentrator, leads the team and is second in
the Ivy League in assists with 9.32 per set. She stands third
all-time at Harvard in career assists with 3,221 to her credit. She
is also tied for seventh on the all-time service aces list with
87.
As a junior, Durwood was named Academic All-Ivy League and served
as team captain. She handed out 1,034 assists for the seventh most
in Harvard annuals.
She works as a Drug and Alcohol Peer Advisor (DAPA) on campus and
volunteers Boston Children's Hospital working with Dr. Norman
Spack on gender identity issues.
