2 with a Monday afternoon matinee against Cambridge neighbor MIT.

Series History
Harvard leads the all-time series by a count of 46-9.
Harvard is on a six-game winning streak against the Engineers
although they have not met since the 1985-86 season when the
Crimson won, 86-50. MIT's last win against Harvard came back in
1965-66 with an 86-84 victory at home.
The series began in 1900-01 with Harvard taking a
pair of games by a combined score of 82-19.
Harvard's Last Time
Out
Led by Chris Wright's career-high 34 points and Greg
Monroe's 16 points and 16 rebounds, and propelled by a half-ending
11-0 run, #13 Georgetown pulled away to beat Harvard 86-70 in a
game that was tied at 33 late in the first half.
Harvard was coming off a two-week layoff since a
victory over Boston College on Dec. 9. In its game before that, the
Ivy League school also tested Top 25 team Connecticut, losing by
six on Dec. 6.
Jeremy Lin led Harvard on Wednesday with 15 points.
He made his first six shot attempts while adding four rebounds,
four assists and three steals.
MIT's Last Time Out
MIT rolls into today's game with a perfect 11-0 record.
The Engineers knocked off Lesley, 88-61, on Dec. 12 behind a
career-high 34 points from big man Noel Hollingsworth and eight
assists from Mitchell Kates.
Hollingsworth also collected 10 rebounds to secure
his seventh double-double of the campaign and help the Cardinal and
Gray finish the first semester undefeated.
Billy Bender contributed 12 points and a
season-high 11 rebounds. Tashman had another solid outing totaling
nine points and 12 caroms while Billy Johnson scored 14. The
Engineers held a 49-29 edge on the boards.
Hollingsworth averages 21.2 points and 10.2
rebounds per game while Kates stands at 13.8 points per. Jimmy
Burke shoots at a 43 percent clip from long range.
Harvard Coach Tommy
Amaker
Tommy Amaker (Duke '87) begins his third season as head
coach of the Harvard men's basketball team. He registered his 200th
career coaching victory Nov. 13 in the 2009-10 season opener at
Holy Cross.
He brings a 206-177 career head coaching record
into the game, including a 109-83 record at Michigan at a 68-55
record at Seton Hall.
Amaker came to Harvard after a six year stint as
Michigan's head coach. Inheriting a program that was reeling from
institutional and NCAA sanctions, he led the Wolverines to the
postseason three times, winning the 2004 NIT title, reaching the
championship game of the 2006 NIT, and advancing to the second
round of the 2007 tournament. The 2006-07 season was Michigan's
second straight 20-win campaign and its third in four years. The
Wolverines were ranked as high as No. 20 in the nation during the
2005-06 season.
Massachusetts Sweep
Harvard is 3-0 this season against teams form the Bay
State, with victories over Boston College, Boston University and
Holy Cross. The Crimson will look to finish its sweep with a win
over MIT today.
Harvard's women sports a 4-0 mark during in-state
games with the above victories and an added one against
Northeastern. The women play at Massachusetts on Jan. 6 in their
bid for a state sweep.

Harvard's men and women are a combined 9-0 at Lavietes
Pavilion this season.
