The Crimson plays its second home game in three days tonight
against George Washington, out of the Atlantic-10 Conference.
Tipoff is at 7 p.m. for a game that was originally scheduled for a
6 p.m. start.

Series History
The teams met last season for the first time with George
Washington holding off the Crimson by a score of 78-63 in
Washington, D.C.
Drew Housman '09 led Harvard with 15 points on
4-of-6 shooting and a 3-of-3 mark from deep while Jeremy Lin added
13 points, four assists and two steals.
GW was led by Damien Hollis' 22 points on 8-for-11
shooting inside. GW, which also shot 19-for-23 from the free throw
line, got 11 points and a 6-of-6 mark at the stripe from Tony
Taylor.
Harvard's Last Time
Out
Jeremy Lin scored 18 points, had four assists, three
blocks and three steals in just 26 minutes to help Harvard defeat
Massachusetts Institute of Technology 88-61 on Monday.
Lin led four Crimson players in double figures as
Pat Magnarelli scored 16 points )19 minutes), Dee Giger 14 and
Christian Webster 10. Magnarelli also had eight rebounds.
Harvard scored 43 points off the bench and had 22
second-chance points compared to 8 by the Engineers (11-1).
The Crimson shot 55 percent from the field (33 of
60), and outrebounded MIT 45-31.
The Division III Engineers were off to their best
start in program history before falling to the Crimson for the
seventh straight time.
The win kept alive Harvard's best home record to
start a season in 23 years since going 7-0 at Lavietes Pavilion to
start the 1986-87 season.
George Washington's Last Time
Out
Damian Hollis scored 14 of his 19 points in the second
half as George Washington held off Holy Cross 70-68 on Monday.
The Colonials have won five of their last six games
and are 5-0 on the road this season.
GW jumped out to a 20-4 lead and led 36-22 at
halftime in the schools' first meeting since 1996.
The Crusaders used a 10-2 to run to pull within
62-60 with 1:55 remaining. The Colonials pushed the lead to six
with 44 seconds to go, but Holy Cross again whittled it down to two
with 5 seconds left on Devin Brown's 3-pointer. After Tony Taylor
missed two free throws for George Washington with 3 seconds
remaining, Mike Cavataio missed a 3-pointer for Holy Cross at the
buzzer.
The Crusaders were 9-for-18 from beyond the arc
compared to George Washington's 4-for-20.
Damien Hollis scored 19 points in 21 minutes
despite foul trouble.
GW is part of a strong Atlantic-10 Conference that
currently ranks as the fourth-best conference in the nation behind
only the Big East, Big 12 and ACC.
Behind the A-10 is the SEC, Pac-10, Big Ten,
Mountain West, Colonial, Missouri Valley and Conference USA as the
top 11.
Two of Harvard's losses have come against the
top-ranked conference, the Big East.
Harvard Coach Tommy
Amaker
Tommy Amaker (Duke '87) begins his third season as head
coach of the Harvard men's basketball team. He registered his 200th
career coaching victory Nov. 13 in the 2009-10 season opener at
Holy Cross.
He brings a 207-177 career head coaching record
into the game, including a 109-83 record at Michigan at a 68-55
record at Seton Hall.
Amaker came to Harvard after a six year stint as
Michigan's head coach. Inheriting a program that was reeling from
institutional and NCAA sanctions, he led the Wolverines to the
postseason three times, winning the 2004 NIT title, reaching the
championship game of the 2006 NIT, and advancing to the second
round of the 2007 tournament. The 2006-07 season was Michigan's
second straight 20-win campaign and its third in four years. The
Wolverines were ranked as high as No. 20 in the nation during the
2005-06 season.
Assisted Living
Four different players have game 5+ assist games this
season; Jeremy Lin (high of 9 vs. W&M), Oliver McNally (high of
9 against UNH); Christian Webster (high of 6 against MIT), Brandyn
Curry (high of 5 against MIT).
Many Hands Make For Light Work
In its last three home games against Division I teams, wins against
Bryant New Hampshire and Rice, Harvard has played at least 10
players for double digit minutes.
The Crimson had 10 players reach the 10-minute mark
against Bryant with no player logging more than 27 minutes; against
UNH, 11 players logged big minutes with nobody playing more than 24
minutes; Against Rice, nobody played more than 28 minutes.
Margin of Victory
Harvard's margin of victory at home this season is 18.8
points per game - including a two-point win over William &
Mary. In its last four home games, Harvard's average margin has
been 23 ppg.
Massachusetts Sweep
Harvard is 4-0 this season against teams form the Bay
State, with victories over Boston College, Boston University, Holy
Cross and MIT.
Harvard's women sports a 4-0 mark during in-state
games with the above victories and an added one against
Northeastern. The women play at Massachusetts on Jan. 6 in their
bid for a state sweep.
Lovely Lavietes
Harvard's men and women are a combined 10-0 at Lavietes
Pavilion this season with each team holding a 5-0 mark.
Hot Shots
Harvard's two-point shooting percentage of 56 percent is
seventh-best nationally and its 77.5 percent mark from the charity
stripe is sixth-best nationally. Its true shooting percentage,
derived from FG, 3-PT FG and FT percentage, stands at 59 percent
and is 14th best nationally.
Block Party
Harvard had 11 blocked shots against MIT on Monday. The
Crimson is averaging 5.6 per game which is 28th nationally.
Bench Disparity
Harvard has scored more bench points than its opponents in
every game this season with five 30+ efforts including two 40-point
efforts.
The Crimson scored 43 points by reserve players
against Bryant and MIT and had three-straight 30+ efforts to start
the season (36 vs. Holy Cross; 32 vs. William & Mary).
Harvard's bench outscored Boston University 27-2 in
a win on Nov. 29. The Crimson outscored UConn, 27-14, on Dec. 6,
Boston College, 18-8, on Dec. 9 and Georgetown, 23-3 on Dec. 23.
In The Paint
Harvard has scored more points in the paint than its
opponents in 10 of 11 games this season (Georgetown).
The Crimson scored a season-high 54 points in the
paint against MIT (12/28). It's previous high was 46 against Rice
and 40 versus both Boston College and Bryant.
Gimme a Second Chance
Harvard scored a season-high 22 second chance points
against MIT on Dec. 28. Its previous high was 14 against UConn and
BU.
