CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Harvard junior Colin West was named to the All-Ivy League team for the third straight season, the conference announced Friday afternoon.  West, the Ivy League Rookie of the Year in 2007, posted a 14-3 overall mark this season, including an 11-2 record at the No. 1 slot.  The Crimson player led the team in wins and winning percentage (.824) and was 5-1 against Ivy opponents during the regular season. 

West, a native of Toronto, Ont., opened the year 8-0, scoring Ivy wins against Brown, Dartmouth, Cornell and Penn.  After dropping his lone match of the regular season to Princeton, West earned a win against Yale to move his record to 9-1 entering the CSA National Team Championships.  He helped No. 5 Harvard defeat No. 4 Cornell, 5-4, in the quarterfinal round en route to the Crimson's fourth-place finish in the tournament. 

During the CSA Individual Championships, West, the No. 3 overall seed, advanced his way through the tournament, taking three 3-0 decisions on his way to reaching the semifinal round.  He faced No. 2 seed Mauricio Sanchez of Princeton and took the first two games, 9-3 and 9-6.  However, Sanchez rebounded to take the next three games, 9-1, 9-2, 9-4, to pick up the win.
