CAMBRIDGE,
Mass. – Jamie Clark, the Virginia B. and James O.
Welch, Jr. '52 Head Coach for Harvard Men's Soccer, has
announced that nine student-athletes will join the Crimson in the
fall of 2009.
The
group consists of four defenders, two forwards, two goalkeepers and
one midfielder. The class also includes three players
from Massachusetts and New York and one each from California,
Florida and England.
The
addition of nine players brings the 2009 Harvard roster to a total
of 27 student-athletes, as the Crimson will look to reach the NCAA
Championship for the fourth consecutive season. Last
year, Harvard advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament
and posted a 12-6-0 record.
